Some people wonder 

why it seems that everything goes wrong in their life. They wonder why their enemies always defeat them. They wonder why it seems as though God never hears them and why they never receive God’s promises of blessing coming to them. They receive no healing in their sicknesses their cries for financial help seems to go unanswered. Their troubles are allowed to break them in pieces and God seems not to care. So they become bitter and hateful blaming God and others for the plight they are in.

Before accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior I too lived this kind of life having no victory in anything always paying the consequences of my sins with tremendous suffering no power to overcome the enemies that were knocking me down and holding me there.

The only time I wanted anything from God was when I was in so much trouble I couldn’t get out of on my own or wanted something that I could not get on my own. Only then would I call upon God and promise Him that if He would help me I would never sin again. But I really had no intention of keeping my promise to him. God saw into my heart when I prayed these insincere prayers and help never came to me and nothing ever changed in my life until I came to my senses and realized that if I was ever to receive anything from God I would have to be sincere in my heart.

We have to come to a place in life that we believe God is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. We have to please God if we want to receive from God what we desire.

God has some requirements that we must meet before we will receive from Him His promises in our time of trouble and need He will not fight our battles until His requirements are met in us.

The first requirement then is we must please God and we cannot please God without faith. And faith must be sincere from our heart then and only then will we receive from God His promises!

I have shared with you what it took me many years of suffering to learn so that you may not have to learn the hard way as I did.

People treasure many things in this world

People treasure many things in this world but most overlook the most valuable treasure of all.

The treasures we get in this world usually cost us or someone they have to be purchased. Life confirms that treasures in this world are not free.

God’s love is forever His love is eternal and bests of all His love is free He gives His love to all who will receive it.

We cannot buy it we cannot sell it we cannot trade it the government cannot tax it but God allows us to share it.

Love is a treasure that never runs out the more we share it the more it comes back to us.

Those of us who have it are the wealthiest people on earth in reality we are the richest people in the universe.

I’ll never understand why people will rob from steal from and kill each other to acquire worthless human made things that do not give them true peace and happiness and have no eternal value. In the end when their allotted time is up on earth they cannot take anything with them.

In the end all die equal and have nothing because in death there is no value. But if we have love it brings us peace and happiness in this world and will go with us back to our Heavenly Fathers house where our real wealth is stored up and waiting for us to claim it.

Treasures in Heaven

God has given us light His name is Jesus

I remember the time I spent with my grandparents as a small child. Their farm house was situated close to a large wooded area and our nearest neighbors lived a mile or two away. Many times grandpa and grandma Proffit would take us little children and go for an evening visit. 

The woods were a very dark and scary place to be after the sun went down. I remember grandpa took the lead holding his kerosene lantern out in front giving light for the rest of us to follow. Grandpa in front us children walking behind him and grandma following behind we followed the path through the woods until we reached our destination safely.

That is a lot like traveling through this dark and scary world there is trials and troubles we have to walk through and dangers that threaten our lives all about us. Many have allowed their lives to be destroyed because they try to make it through the darkness without any light to lead them to safety.

God has given us light His name is Jesus He walks out in front of us lighting the path that leads to an abundant life here on earth and at the end eternal life in the paradise He has gone to prepare for all who will follow His light to our final destination.

There is no excuse for living in the darkness of this present evil wicked world and dying in the sin that separates us from God.  God loves us and wants us to follow His light to safety.

When it seems that the darkness is so dark that you can’t find your way.

Don’t panic don’t give up you will find your way out if you will only stop and pray.

God has provided light in the darkness that will light up your day.

You don’t have to wander to and fro groping in gross darkness without any light.

Look up there is Jesus God’s Son shining ever so brightly in the darkest of night.

It seems that coming out gay

It seems that coming out gay is acknowledged as something to be proud of and broadly published and praised by most in today’s America.

And the testimony’s of those who do well are being ignored and hidden from the public by most of the major news media. The good that used to bring America respect and honor is now viewed by a large part of our citizens as evil. While the evil is praised and upheld to our country’s shame.

I think that the voices of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah must be crying out for Gods righteous judgment to pay a visit to America.

Wake up America I think if it is true that there is a holy just and righteous God that did punish these two cities with destruction with fire from heaven. And there is no doubt about it there is Almighty God who is still very much in control of His creation.

And His wrath is coming to visit this nation that has become rebellious sinful and wicked there is no escape for those who have forgotten God and His laws.

Sodom and Gomorrah was blind to the truth as well and did not think it was coming until it hit them on an unexpected day while they were reveling in and praising their own evils.

United with God we stand … Divided without God we fall

We are no longer one nation under God united by faith in God but now we are nation divided from each other who has forgotten who we were and who God is.

What happened to make us forget our past and begin the process of destroying who we are supposed to be?

There was a time in America when fathers and mothers raised their children together.

There was a time when fathers set a good example for their children by providing a living for their families and taught their young sons the value of hard work and the purpose of providing for their families.

There was a time when mothers cared for the needs of their households and taught their young daughters the values of home making instilling in them the qualities of a good wife and mother.

There was a time when our American schools and colleges taught our children the true history of our forefathers and values of moral character to respect and honor God, family and country.

The Ten Commandments hung on the walls of our school house halls and class rooms. Teachers and college professors were not ashamed or afraid to read from the Holy Bible and exhort its words to their students.

Our text books included true American history and scripture from the Bible and facts of America’s founding being grounded in faith in Almighty God.

There was a time when our school days were started with the pledge of Allegiance to our American flag and our children was led in prayer by our teachers asking God’s blessing on our families and our country.

The reason that America is in so much trouble in today’s world is because we have allowed liberal ideas and doctrine to invade our homes, our schools and our church houses.

We have allowed liberal thoughts and teaching to push the Bible the Ten Commandments and moral standards right out of our lives.

Our young men and women have become so brainwashed with liberalism and communism that they can no longer see the value of keeping faith in God and living by the Bible and the Ten Commandments.

Because of political correctness this generation has forgotten these things of real value that has kept our country protected and safe from its enemies, blessed above all nations and made it the freest society of the entire world.

We have become a nation that lacks the common sense and wisdom that guided our forefathers when they established the founding documents of our constitution and set up our bill of rights.

I believe that what we see happening in and to America  the troubles that have befallen us the enemies that are attacking us is allowed by God being a warning from God to us that we had better return to the things that once made us the greatest one nation under God the United states of America .

Or we will surely perish a divided nation without God.

When will we reach the point of no return? Or are we already there?

Will we remember our past and return to its principals that kept us strong?

Or will we continue as we are and die in our sins because we have as a nation forgotten God?
