Unbelief is the sin that pulls us under






When I was a young man of about 26 years old me my wife and our two children were with my brother in law and his family on his pontoon boat enjoying a beautiful summer day cruising the Ohio River.

I decided to take a swim so I leaped off the boat into the water I floated a few feet from the boat the river seemed to be calm. I swam out a little further and suddenly the water was swirling under my body pulling me under the current was so strong that my every stroke did nothing to lift me above its force.

I was being sucked under I was screaming for help but the folks on the boat either could not hear me or thought I was just having fun.

I was going under and struggling to keep my head above water my physical strength was giving out I had no one to help me. I cried out Jesus help me and suddenly I felt as if I was being carried back to the pontoon. My brother in law Jim helped me to get back on the boat while I was praising God for saving me from drowning and letting me live.

I will never forget that day it is locked into my mind forever I learned a very important lesson that day.  I have lived my life by it every day since. When I have a serious problem I put my trust in Jesus and throughout these many years that He has let me live He has never failed to come to my aid many times even before I know  that I am in trouble and need His help.

It is faith in the word and the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

That makes the difference of whether we fall and are crushed under the circumstances of our lives.

Or rise and stand above them.

Unbelief is the sin that pulls us under.

Faith in Jesus is the assurance that His power will lift us above every obstacle and circumstance that would destroy us.

How can you forgive ?






An answer to my grandsons question.
Papa I wanna ask you how can you forgive a guy that goes into a classroom and shoot kids N his mom . Then kills himself and gets the easy way out . However facing god for the grief of families and the sins he has committed? For me personally I .." hate him " and I don't hate . Is it ok to hate someone who did that . Should I still feel angered ? And want to have guns now to protect myself ? Should I think like that ?

Grandson it is never ok to hate anyone Jesus taught us to love everyone even our enemies. It is alright however to hate the sins committed and the evil that tempted them to happen. We can forgive them in the same Spirit of Jesus that lives within us that same spirit that spoke from His lips while His last human breath left His body. You see it wasn’t the cross he was nailed to that killed Him it was evil and wicked men that tortured Him crucified Him. Their murder weapons were nails driven through His flesh a spear piercing His side allowing His pure innocent blood to flow from His body. He gave up His life in this world speaking these last words:

Father, forgive them.

Luke 23:33-35

33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

The Bible tells us that it is alright to be angry but not to let anger cause us to sin.


Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

As far as your question about guns, guns were invented to allow us a means for protection from foreign and internal enemies that would attack us and place us and our family’s lives and possessions at risk. The reason for having them is to keep thiefs, robbers and killers from taking what is rightfully ours from us by force. And our constitution allows us the right as American citizens to own them and use them in protecting ourselves from a government of tyrants and dictators if they should gain power over our political offices and begin to take away our freedoms and oppress our peoples.

But however guns are just like any of the other inventions that we have and use in today’s world they can be used for good or evil. Just like the nails used in taking Jesus’s life from Him were also used for good in building homes and furniture. How they are used is up to the individual and no one can control an evil persons intentions. But we do have the right to own guns to protect ourselves from evil.

The state of the union






I am sharing my thoughts about the state of the union.
People we are living in serious times that require serious thinking from serious people.
 In order to survive the assault of the enemies of our freedoms we cannot surrender even one of our weapons of defense.
 These weapons are faith in God that created us, faith in His word that promises us victory over all enemies that would oppress us, prayer for His intervention in our times of crisis and yes our guns.
All were used successfully in defeating our past enemies and allowing the founding of our great country by our forefathers all of whom were men, women and children of faith who stood united and fought for their freedoms from oppressive government and enemies of freedom.
United they were.
If we are to continue a free and independent nation blessed of God unlike any other in the world we are going to have to hold fast to our American constitution as it was written  observed and kept by our ancestors .
it’s going to have to be UNITED WE ARE!!!

A tiny little pebble





I was driving down the highway one day when a tiny little pebble hit my windshield it left a tiny little spot that could hardly be seen. As days passed on the tiny little spot became a small crack the tiny small crack began to spread across my windshield a little more each passing day. One day it reached a point that so much damage had been done it was not repairable the only choice I had was to replace the windshield.

During the past few years I have watched our federal government with each passing year tearing tiny little pieces from our Constitution. At first it wasn’t much you could hardly see it. Now it has reached the point that it divides and splits our entire nation. The crack has become so big and our government has done so much damage to our way of life by taking away our constitutional rights little bits at a time repair may be impossible. If we the American people had taken action to fix the problem at its beginning we would still be a United States of America instead of a divided peoples of a fallen nation.

There is no way to fix a government that no longer operates of the people by the people and for the people. At some point a people who want to remain free to live under a constitution that keeps them free will have to clean house and elect leaders who are leaders and not politicians who are dictators and destroyers of our constitution and our moral character and our true American way of life given us by our forefathers who wrote our constitution and fought and died to uphold it to keep us a free peoples in a free nation.

We are no longer a united nation under God in control of our government but have become divided peoples under government control.

Yes our glass is cracked our government is  broken and at some time will have to be replaced by election of men and women who will uphold our constitution and work to unite our people again one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.

The choice is ours will we fix our government and live a free people in a free country? Or will we die slaves to government gone out of control under the control of dictators ?

One of our great leaders of our past said it this way,” this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”.

It is not Guns that kill people






Genesis 4

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

It is not Guns that kill people. It is wickedness and sin in the hearts of people that kills people. Anything in the hands of a killer will get the job done.

Can our government ban enough potential weapons and things that can be used to kill and pass enough laws to stop people from the murder that is in their hearts?

Almighty God wrote and passed a law against murder


 13 “You shall not murder” Exodus 20


New International Version (NIV). Has that stopped the act of murder and killing of innocent people?

What makes anyone think that signing presidential orders and passing laws to ban guns or bullets will stop the killing?

There is only one way to stop people from killing and that is to surrender their lives to the leadership of almighty God seek the forgiveness of sin offered freely in the blood and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ read the Holy Bible believe every word of it and let God’s word wash and cleanse the wickedness of sin from the heart. Any person being born again by the Spirit of God into the kingdom of God Can and will be effective in stopping the senseless killing that causes pain and heartache to those who suffer its consequences.
