“Which way should I go to achieve success?”

A man met a guru in the road. The man asked the guru,

“Which way should I go to achieve success?”

The robed, bearded sage said nothing, but he pointed to a place in the distance.

The man, thrilled by the prospect of quick and easy success, rushed in the appropriate direction. Suddenly, there came a loud “SPLAT.”

Soon the man limped back, tattered and stunned, assuming he must have misinterpreted the message. He repeated his question to the guru. “Which way should I go to achieve success?” The guru again pointed silently in the same direction.

The man obediently walked off once more. This time the “SPLAT” was deafening. When the man crawled back, he was bloody, broken, tattered, and irate.

“I asked you which way I should go to achieve success,” he screamed at the guru. “I followed the direction you gave me, and all I got was Splatted! No more of this pointing talk!”

Only then did the guru speak. What he said was: “Success is that way.Just a little past SPLAT.”

The Holy Bible points us in the direction that we should go and Jesus came and set the example that we should follow in order to achieve success and happiness in our daily lives.

And we Christians strive and work so hard to accomplish the fullness of Gods will and purpose in our daily walk with Him.

But due to the weakness of the outer flesh that covers the inner man and the spirits of devils that constantly attack and invade our minds we are always fighting a battle for the control of our heart and minds.

So often we are knocked down, torn apart, our hearts broken our bodies suffering sickness and pain, troubles, trials and setbacks always falling upon us.

We in our weakness cry out my God, my God where are you. Jesus you promised never to leave me nor forsake me. Why do I not feel your presence in my sorrow and agony?

We cry out to God we pray and we pray and it seems that God does not hear our pleas for His mercy and grace.

We want our walk with God to be a success. We have followed the word of God we have been careful to observe and keep His commandments and still we sometimes don’t feel like we have achieved success. We feel so burdened down with our mistakes and failures.

Where is success? Why have I not achieved it?

Well the thing to consider here is that we have not achieved success because we are trying to be successful in our selves. And success is not in us the Bible tells us that there is no good in us all of us have sinned and fallen short of Gods expectations of us.

If we are going find success it is going to have to be found in Jesus we are going to have live our lives in the Spirit of Jesus. We are going to have to walk in His Holy spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

We cannot live by our feelings, feelings can never produce success. We must live by faith and that in the word of God and the promises that are in His only begotten Son and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Yes there will be times in our Christian walk that we will have to come crawling back to the Heavenly Father bloody, broken, tattered, sorrowed, irate humbled, prostrate at the foot of the cross of Jesus.

There is no real success in life without a life lived in Jesus.

Let your faith take you “Success is that way. Just a little past SPLAT.”

“Which way should I go to achieve success?”

Go now and bow your knees at the foot of the cross and you will have achieved success!

Galatians 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
