In His holy word He has given us His promise of provision

When we pray our prayer should not be centered on asking God for things but thanking God for all things.
God has made provision for us all even before we were born. He did not create us to spend our lives in want. But He meant for us to live our lives in thanksgiving and praise. In our prayer of thankfulness and praise we honor our heavenly Father and our heavenly Father blesses us with fullness of life so that we want for nothing and have all that we need.

In His holy word He has given us His promise of provision. In His divine Son Jesus He has provided all that we will ever need.

Philippians 4:19 King James Version (KJV)
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

In the late 1980’s the company that I had worked for many years decided to close their business and shut down operations. I was given layoff notice it was a period of time the economy wasn’t the best in Texas and I being in my 50’s couldn’t find adequate work to support my family though I searched for months. Our emergency funds had run out and we had no income at all. Being the man of faith that I am I did not apply for government aid I did not ask for welfare or food stamps I did not ask family friends neighbors or strangers for any aide. I placed my trust in God alone and was convinced that He would supply our needs.

I am here today to tell you that God did not fail us because without any source of income with no money coming to us on a regular basis for over three years. Everything that we needed came to us every day. We had food clothing and shelter supplied to us by faith in God’s promises.

Mary and I have learned throughout the years of our lives together that God is true to His word and His word is true to His children.

Recently Mary and I both have been healed from certain death sicknesses. Miracles of God provided for us through the sacrificed blood and the death and resurrection of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ long before we ever needed them...

Neither space nor time will permit me to tell of all the many blessings and miracles that God has bestowed upon us throughout our nearly 54 years as man and wife.

From our early 20’s we have lived by faith and that faith in the word of God has been there for us in every trial in every trouble in every sickness. We are now in our 70’s and confess the faithfulness of God towards His children is even good in old age.

God is faithful His word is faithful His faithfulness in showing us His love in and through His only begotten son Jesus will never fail us.

That being true shouldn’t we be faithful to trust Him with our lives? Shouldn’t we thank him with all our heart? Shouldn’t we devote our lives in praise to Him?
Matthew 6:7-8 King James Version (KJV)

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Matthew 6 :31-33 King James Version (KJV)

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
