It was called Lake Pointe church located in Rockwall, Texas.
We entered the parking lot and nearly got lost trying to find the church
entrance the lot was so big that it was hard for us to find our way around...
After we had located the entrance and walked inside the pupils of our
eyes bugged out as we looked around at its vastness. It reminded me of the
Dallas Fort Worth Airport having its little coffee shops and snack bars and
seating areas. There were information
desks with many computer monitors as well many video screens hung from the
walls located throughout. It was simply amazing as we watched uncountable
numbers of people men women and children walking to their chosen Sunday school
class rooms.
When we entered the worship auditorium it was so breathe taking we had
to stop and take a breath in order to take it all in. The worship area was much
larger than a super Wal-Mart store having rows and rows of seating capacity.
They have two worship services in the morning 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
We went for the early 9:00 am service and it was packed nearly every
seat was filled. I don’t know how many was in attendance but it was much more
than any other place that we have ever gone to worship.
After the service and before we could leave the building the second
group of worshipers were coming in it
was shoulder to shoulder people as we made our way to where we had parked the traffic
was such that I guess that it took us nearly half an hour to exit the parking
lot.
All I can say is wow! And double Wow!
What a way to worship God and acknowledge Mother’s Day and to see the
amazing things God is doing among those who are faithful to His call...
