Sometimes people don’t hear words spoken with our lips.
Sometimes
they hear but don’t listen.
Sometimes
they hear listen but don’t believe what they hear.
Sometimes
they hear listen and reject what they hear.
Sometimes
they hear but the word is twisted in their minds and they hear something that
was not said.
Sometimes
they hear listen and deny the truth of what they hear.
Sometimes
ears will fail to prove what is spoken with our lips is truth.
But
when the truth spoken with our lips is confirmed with the life lived in our
bodies it is evidence worth hearing, worth believing and worth receiving.
This
is why God always proves His spoken word with signs following.
Mark
16:20
King James Version (KJV)
And they went forth, and preached
every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs
following.
Hebrews 2:1-4 (KJV)
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest
heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them
slip.
For
if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and
disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
How shall we escape, if we neglect
so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was
confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
God also bearing them witness, both
with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost,
according to his own will?
New King James Version (NKJV)
You
Will Know Them by Their Fruits
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do
men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good
fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can
a bad tree bear good fruit. Every
tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore
by their fruits you will know them.
